Calyptus has been a reviewer for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) since 1996, which has enabled us to cultivate a deep and unique expertise in FTA requirements and best practices for meeting compliance. In addition to having performed over 200 FTA Triennial Reviews, Calyptus conducts specialized reviews for the FTA Office of Civil Rights in the areas of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Title VI, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance.
Calyptus has conducted on-site DBE compliance reviews of FTA grant recipients located in:
- Lynchburg, VA
- Omaha, NE
- Mendocino, CA
Additionally, Calyptus has performed a specialized Title VI review of the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
Our process for DBE, Title VI, and EEO specialty reviews includes the following elements:
- Data collection and research before the on-site visit
- An on-site review of grantee program implementation (including, but not limited to, discussions to clarify items previously reviewed and interviews with staff)
- Collaboration with the FTA and grant recipient to identify findings and implement corrective actions
We offer transit agencies consulting and training services in developing plans, writing procedures, implementing programs, and ensuring effective compliance in these areas.
